I’ve been meaning to post these for a long time. Sorry for the delay!
On one of our first days we stopped and sat in on a bench in front of the Municipio (=town hall). Why did we do that you ask? Well, we knew that there is a web cam aimed in that direction, and we wanted to see if it would show us. It did! See if you can find us (hint: L has a red coat on).

You can find that webcam here. The link is to a time-lapse version, but you can click on “live” to get the … live version.
That same site has some other Verona webcams as well.
Here’s one with a better view of L’Arena, the Roman amphitheater.
And here’s one with a view of Piazza Bra and sidewalk in front of the row of restaurants. The sidewalk is called the Listone (or Liston in the local dialect), and it used to be a tradition for people to stroll back and forth along it in the late afternoon, partly to socialize, partly to see and be seen. I don’t know if it’s still a tradition, but lots of people walk on it at all times.
Finally, this webcam is on the hill on the opposite side of the river. In the right center there is a white church tower, with is the Duomo (the city cathedral), and we are staying just a little to the left of that on via Duomo (=Cathedral Street, like Church Street in the U.S). Good luck finding us on that webcam …
Great photo. (Lady in red)
