Today we had some good pizza, thanks to F. I had told her about the mediocre pizza we had our first night in town, and she said gave us the name of the place she goes, Gemma Pizzeria, straight down the street, near the grocery store.
After doing some errands and shopping today, we went there for lunch, and the pizza was good.
We had the Civico 19: mozzarella, roasted potatoes, Italian sausage, Grana Padano cheese, topped with caramelized onions
And the October special:
Saffron cream, Mozzarella, Italian(!) Sausage, Gorgonzola cheese, topped with Chilli Pepper threads, Chopped Parsley
BTW, the Italian menu just says “sausage”.
And yes, we did get two pizzas (J asked). That’s the way it’s done here, everyone gets their own. They are not huge pizzas, and we were pleasantly full afterwards (we did not eat all the crust).
